During the International Trade Fair of Environmental Protection POLEKO 2013 in Poznań the international conference “Together for the environment” – EEA and Norwegian funds in Poland was organised by the Ministry of the Environment on 8 October 2013.
The conference was attended by: Stanisław Gawłowski – Secretary of State in Ministry of the Environment, Karsten Klepsvik – Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Poland, representatives of Norwegian Environment Agency, representatives of National Contact Point and Intermediate Bodies as well as the beneficiaries of Norwegian and EEA funds in Poland.
During the conference “Monitoring the implementation effects of Project PL0100 (...)” Mrs Małgorzata Tołwińska, a deputy of Project Manager, presented three projects of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection implemented under the Operational Programme PL03: “Improving Environmental Monitoring and Inspection” co-financed from the funds of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2009-2014:
- Monitoring the implementation effects of Project PL0100 “Improving the efficiency of the Inspection of Environmental Protection based on Norwegian experience”– the project implemented by the Inspection and Administrative Ruling Department;
- Strengthening the system of air quality assessment in Poland, based on Norwegian experience – project implemented by the Department of Monitoring and Environmental Information;
- Strengthening the technical capacities of Inspection of Environmental Protection through the procurement of measurement, laboratory and IT equipment – project implemented by the Department of Monitoring and Environmental Information.
Moreover, the experience in the implementation of projects financed from Norwegian and EEA funds were discussed as well as cooperation of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection and Norwegian Environment Agency.
